1. Data Controller

Agilitation is the data controller for the processing of personal data carried out through this website and the Taste extension.


2. What data do we collect ?

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy including the Limited Use requirements.


a. Data collected when you create a user account or when you contact us

To use the Taste extension, you must create a user account.

When you use the Taste extension, we collect the time and date you log on and data relating to the use of the extension (screens viewed, features used, length of sessions, etc.).

To manage your account, we collect your e-mail address and a single-use login code, a token ID, your history of acceptance or refusal of cookies for the websites you visit (which we save locally on your computer) as well as information on the cookie banners of the sites you visit (dates and times of interaction with a cookie banner, type of cookie widget...).

We also collect your data when you contact us by e-mail.

We may ask you to complete surveys or take part in interviews to find out how we can improve Taste. With your consent, these interviews may be recorded. In this case, we may keep an audio/video recording and transcripts.

Data we collect in relation to your user account and your to the use of Taste is necessary for the execution of our contractual relationship and the proper functioning of the extension.


b. Automatically collected data – cookies - trackers

When you browse our website, taste.axept.io, or visit the Taste page in the Chrome Web Store, we and our partners automatically collect certain information, such as:

  • Browsing data (device, operating system, and browser used).
  • Date and time of your browsing.
  • IP address.
  • The terminal's unique identifier and, where applicable, the advertising identifier.
  • The pages you have viewed, your browsing history, and the time spent on the pages you have viewed.

We use this information to evaluate the audience and performance of our taste.axept.io website, the Taste page on the Chrome Web Store, and to evaluate the performance of our "Taste" marketing campaigns on social network partners.

4. Who are the recipients of the collected personal data?

As a reminder, the history of your choices and consent to the deposit of cookies is only stored locally, i.e. on your computer. This means that only you have access to your browsing history and consent data.

We only store data related to your user account on our servers (see article 2a of this Policy).

Agilitation does not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data is shared only for the purposes related to its activities:

  • Internally, with authorized departments responsible for these tasks;
  • With its suppliers and subcontractors. Agilitation requires them to sign contracts containing clauses that ensure a level of data protection, confidentiality, and security in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. 

Your data may be disclosed to competent public authorities upon their request, in compliance with regulations, particularly for the purpose of investigating offenders. As a reminder, the history of your choices and consents for cookie storage is stored only locally, meaning on your computer. This means that only you have access to your browsing history and consent data. We only store on our servers data related to your user account. Agilitation does not sell your personal data to third parties. These data are shared solely for the purposes related to its activities:

  • Internally, with the authorized services responsible for carrying out these tasks;
  • With suppliers and subcontractors. Agilitation has them sign contracts with clauses ensuring a level of data protection, confidentiality, and security that complies with regulatory standards and best practices. Your data may be communicated to competent public authorities upon their requests, in compliance with regulations, particularly for the purpose of identifying offenders.

5. Are your personal data transferred outside the European Union?

User account data is stored on servers located within the European Union. Your consent history is stored locally on your browser.

Agilitation uses subcontractors and suppliers (for marketing automation and satisfaction questionnaire management, performance measurement for marketing campaigns) under conditions that involve the transfer of data outside the European Union to the United States. The relevant service providers adhere to the Data Privacy Framework. These data transfers are therefore governed by an adequacy decision, where applicable, through the signing of standard contractual clauses.

6. Automated Decision-Making

By using the Taste extension, you grant Axeptio the authority to accept or reject, on your behalf, the placement of some or all cookies deposited through the websites you visit. For more information on this matter, we invite you to review our Terms of Use.

The decision to accept or reject cookies is made based on:

  • A score assigned by Agilitation to the websites you visit.
  • A score assigned by Agilitation to vendors, meaning the entities (providers of audience measurement solutions, chat modules, etc.) that place these cookies. Read our FAQ to learn more about the criteria we use to determine this score. Of course, if we haven't yet evaluated the website you're visiting, the vendor's score will take precedence.
  • Your own choices expressed in specific situations (e.g., if a specific website's banner only allows you to accept cookies or subscribe). 
Naturally, you have rights regarding this automated decision-making. The extension, in particular, allows you to revoke consents for each visited site or temporarily pause our extension. Upon request, we can also explain why the decision to accept or reject some or all of the cookies from a specific site was made.

In accordance with Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR regarding the data we hold about you, you have the following rights:

  • Sending an email to dpo@axeptio.eu. Proof of identity may be requested as needed to ensure that the request is
    indeed coming from the legitimate data subject.

8. Cookies

The website taste.axept.io may automatically collect standard information, (see article 2b of the present Policy) which enables the site to identify its visitors via cookies and other tracers. These cookies are placed by Agilitation or one of its providers/partners, as listed within our Cookie widget.
